Used Sports Cars | 2010s Best Eco Cars

2009 saw an influx of green cars into the mainstream market but 2010 is set to be the year where they become far more commonplace on our roads. With the increased onus people are placing on their carbon footprint, greener cars are something moving to the forefront of more and more people's minds. Here's a look at some of 2010s best offerings:

Tesla: Roadster Sport

Believe it or not, Tesla has been producing eco-friendly cars since 2003 and between then and 2009 they received 900 orders for their original Roadster. Technically, the new Roadster Sport isn't new for 2010 as it became available last year but with the increased public focus on the environment it is set to be Tesla's biggest year yet. The car is run on an electric engine with zero carbon emissions but produces a massive 248bhp and can reach 60mph from a standstill in an astonishing 3.7 seconds!

Hyundai: Sonata Hybrid

Hybrid technology was pioneered by Toyata and since then Mercedes, BMW, GM, Ford, Honda and Nissan have all followed suit but relative to the car market the number of hybrid vehicles available is tiny. Hyundai are the latest manufacturer to come up with a hybrid concept, a version of its Sonata model that was displayed for the first time at the LA auto show back in November. The Sonata Hybrid has a 2.4 litre engine but also a 40bhp electric motor that combines with the combustion in the normal engine to drastically reduce emissions.

Chevrolet: Volt / Vauxhall: Ampera

This car will be known as the Chevrolet Volt in the US and it will be released by Vauxhall in Europe as the Ampera and is scheduled to hit the market in November. Another hybrid concept but with a bit of a twist, the car travels up to 40 miles solely using the lithium-ion battery powered engine then the normal engine takes over meaning it has a range of over 300 miles.

Nissan: LEAF

Probably the most hyped and anticipated green vehicle yet and after all the speculation 2010 is set to be the year when it is finally released. This car is a totally new technology and more practical than any other electric vehicle to date; it has a range of 100 miles and can be charged to 80 per cent capacity in just half an hour. It was rated by Time magazine as one of the top 50 inventions of 2009 and is expected to receive backing from Governments and companies worldwide.

Performance Sports Cars | The Coolest Cars of 2010

I am an avid car lover to say the very least. Every year when new cars are released I am so excited about it. I actually know which cars will be released far before the time that they ever are. I read lots of magazines and I also love to keep up on the concept cars that companies are developing. So without further a due here are my top three favorite cars of 2010.

#1) 2010 Audi S4: This super charged sports car is beast! I have always loved Audi ever since I purchased the A8 in 06. But they have truly outdone themselves with this one. Great gas mileage, cool design, and plenty of horse power. What more is there to say?

#2) 2010 Honda Accord: As always Honda has made the top 3 in my list for a various number of reasons. But the main ones are the obvious. They always lead the pack in terms of gas mileage, safety, and overall performance. Nuff said.

#3) 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid: I will admit that my opinion on this vehicle may be just a bit biased, but I am really proud of Ford for stepping up to the plate and making a vehicle that can compete with the cars that the foreign car companies have been making for eons. It is a great car and that's all there is too it. If you don't believe me then check it out for yourself.

I know that these cars may not be the ones you were expecting to see on the list but I had to take safety and gas mileage into account. If you want a list of my top sports cars, Well I guess I will just have to write it. Not a bad idea. I will get right to it!

A Cheap New Car is Possible?

After your house, your automobile is probably your most expensive asset. More than that, it is a position symbol. It tells the concern what your personality is, and quite frankly, how much automobile you can afford. This article will examine how to encounter a affordable newborn car.

The prototypal way to encounter a affordable newborn automobile is to look for rebates and cash back offers. Because the frugalness is in a slump and is hitting the automobile industry harder than most others, many manufacturers are offering incentives to acquire their cars. Some of the best deals right now on newborn cars include a $13,000 cash back on the Mercedes-Benz CLK Class, $5000 off a Nissan Titan, and $7500 off the BMW Z4.

Another way to acquire a affordable newborn automobile is to look for a model from terminal year. As dealers listing out the 2010 line, they still hit 2009 models in the showroom. They are player motivated to advise these and will ofttimes offer enthusiastic deals on them.

If you are looking for the cheapest possible monthly payments on a newborn car, consider the lease option. Leased cars can be 30 to 60 percent less expensive than buying the same automobile with a loan which can cut your monthly payments in half. This lets you intend a brand newborn automobile for less money than you might spend on a late model utilised automobile deal. These are enthusiastic deals if you can springy with the lease terms. A typical lease is for 6 months, 30,000 miles, and sometimes a down payment. Also, you will hit to provide impinging shelter on the vehicle and not just liability insurance.

Care to intend for free? If you springy in a big city or near a college campus, this might be an option. In exchange for turning your automobile into a flooded fledgeling mobile billboard, you can ofttimes get a liberated ride (pun intended.) There are two models for doing this. The prototypal is to get a automobile from an advertising consort straight out. The second is to get a stipend for driving your late model automobile around when it is wrapped in a company's advertisement.

Car incentives, models from terminal year, leasing, and liberated cars are all structure to get a affordable newborn car.

If you are looking for a affordable newborn car, I suggest you head on over to Edmunds.com for some enthusiastic shopping.

Cheapest New Cars in the US

If you're like most of us, you can't really afford to spend a ton on a car with the current economic climate. At the same time, you don't want to throw down money on a cheap used car that isn't going to last through the winter. Used cars can be a huge hassle because they often require many more repairs than a new car would. Well lucky for you, there are plenty of brand spanking new cars at relatively cheap prices. However, they might not even be worth the low price they're sporting. You'll just have to check it out for yourself. Here is a list of the most inexpensive cars of 2009.

1. Hyundai Accent GS Base Hatchback. At $10,665, this car is the cheapest new car you can buy in the United States. Yes it's very likable, but don't expect anything amazing from it. It comes at a great low price; however you aren't exactly getting the best deal. For its low starting price, you will be getting only the bare bones of what you usually get from a new car. If you want say an automatic transmission, an AC or a stereo, expect to pay at least $1000 more for it. This car gets around 27 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway.

2. Nissan Versa 1.6 Sedan. This car starts at $10,685. It's a little roomier than the Hyundai Accent, but it doesn't really offer many options either. Color choices are very limited. Again, if you want extras like a stereo or an automatic transmission, you'll have to throw down some extra cash. As far as fuel economy goes, it gets between 24-27 MPG in the city and 31-34 MPG on the highway.

3. Kia Rio Base Sedan. For $12,145 you'll get the basics plus four airbags and a CD player, however if you're looking for color options or power windows, you'll again have to pay a little extra. Although this car offers a few more perks, it may not be worth the price as it sports lower crash test scores and resale value than the Nissan Versa.

4. Chevrolet Aveo. At $12,625, this car is again a much stripped down version of what you would typically expect from a new car. However, it does come with an AM/FM radio and an input jack for your MP3 player, as well as AC. Small perks aside, this car doesn't drive too well and it's lacking in many safety features. As far as fuel economy, this car gets 25-27 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway.

If you do decide that you want one of these new cars, you might want to spruce it up a bit with some aftermarket car parts and accessories.
